1st Special Forces Command Group Technical & Information Support Companies (TISCO) Material Development Consultation
The National Center for Urban Operations (NCUO) provides consultation and support to 1st
Special Forces Command Group Technical & Information Support Companies (TISCO) by
way of technology introduction, material experimentation, and academic capstone
projects. The purpose of this support is to help recognize issues within the operational force
and rapidly expose operators to emerging and commercial solutions that may not be
accessible through the traditional Army acquisitions process. The TISCO’s participation in
material support exercises allows Green Berets to observe, test, and provide feedback to
these solutions early in the research & development process to ensure each solution is
optimized for the mission by the time it is fielded.
This relationship is ongoing and includes events in December 2020, April 2021, and July 2021.
